Partnership Working for Voluntary Sector

The Trust also works with agencies in the Voluntary Sector by encouraging offenders to access local services dependent on their individual needs. This engages the offender with local resources, utilises their time constructively, can contribute towards a reduction in risk of reoffending and assist in reintegrating offenders into their local communities.

Voluntary agencies also work closely with Community Payback, giving offenders an opportunity to repair the harm caused to their community as a result of their offending by completing Unpaid Work to the benefit of the area in which they reside.

The Trust also employs a number of staff seconded to statutory and voluntary sector partnership agencies. This enables staff from various sectors to exchange knowledge and experience when assisting and supporting partners to deliver local services to offenders in the community.
