How We Work

Our Trust is overseen by a Trust Board. The Board is made up of local people and Senior Probation staff.  The Board is responsible for ensuring we are a properly run public body.  Senior managers are responsible for ensuring the day-to-day working of the Trust.

We employ approximately 485 staff, working from units based in Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar, South Bank, Darlington, Durham City, Consett, Peterlee, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe and Chester-le-Street. Staff are also seconded to 6 Local Prisons and Partner Organisations.

The Trust comprises of 6 Local Delivery Units (LDUs) in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton, Darlington, Hartlepool, and Durham.
