Volunteers

Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust has developed a Volunteer Scheme that aims to support the work of Offender Managers to reduce re-offending, assist offenders to re-integrate back into their local community and to aid their compliance with their court Orders or Licences. It is also an opportunity for the Trust to involve local people in the work that we do, whilst also developing stronger links with the local community.

Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust has gained accreditation under the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation's Approved Provider Standard to ensure that volunteers and offenders can feel confident in our commitment to providing a quality scheme. Additionally, volunteers can be reassured that they will only support offenders who are not considered to pose a risk to them in any way.
