Nominate a Project

Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust wants to make sure that we support the local community as much as we possibly can. Therefore, we would like to invite faith groups, community organisations, voluntary groups and local authorities, along with members of the general public, to suggest and nominate projects that we could become involved in through Community Payback.

A project must meet the following criteria:

  • It must be challenging and demanding.
  • It must give offenders an opportunity to put something back into their community.
  • It must be visible, so the community can see offenders paying back for their crimes.
  • It must benefit the local community, creating a better, cleaner and safer environment.
  • It must be worthwhile, constructive and can give offenders new skills.
  • It must not take away any paid work from others.
  • No one must make a profit from the work.

To suggest or nominate a project you can:

Upon receipt of a nomination form our Community Payback Team will contact you to discuss the proposed project in detail and if appropriate, arrange a visit to the site to undertake a full assessment.
