What conditions will be attached to my Licence?

There are six standard licence conditions (see below), which are attached to every licence.

  1. You must be well behaved. You must not commit any offences or do anything that could lead you back into trouble.
  2. You must keep in touch with your Offender Manager, go to appointments, which they give and do what they ask you to do.
  3. You must let your Offender Manager visit you at your home or hostel.
  4. You must live at an address that your Offender Manager has agreed and let them know before you change this address or stay at another address, even if this is just for one night.
  5. You must only do work, whether this is paid or not, that your Offender Manager has agreed for you to do. You must also tell your Offender Manager if you plan to change your job.
  6. You must not travel outside of the UK without asking your Offender Manager.

As well as these standard licence conditions, you may also be given some extra ones if your Offender Manager feels that this will help you to stay out of trouble. For example, your may be given a licence condition that:

  • Stops you from being in contact with certain people.
  • Stops you from going to a particular place, such as a certain town or building.
  • Tells you to work with special services or agencies to sort out your problems with drugs or alcohol.
  • Tells you to complete an Offending Behaviour Programme that will teach you how to think or behave differently.
